Lifeline Kokoda 2014 Fundraising
Story
I am aiming to raise $5,000 for Lifeline and would sincerely appreciate any contribution that you could make to this worthy cause.
Are you aware that each year, in Australia, approximately 2200 people die by suicide? Suicide is also the leading cause of death for men under the age of 44 and women under the age of 34.
Lifeline relies heavily on fundraising has been providing suicide prevention and crisis support services for 50 years and somewhere in Australia there is a new call to Lifeline every minute.
My commitment involves travelling to PNG in April 2014 to walk the Kokoda Track and I see this journey as a powerful and personal way to commemorate the sacrifices of those who fought for our freedom and to help others at the same time. The ANZAC day dawn service on the Kokoda Track will be a memorable experience and it will be all the more rewarding because my fundraising mission will deliver 100% of the money donated directly to Lifeline and will literally help saves lives.
Thank you.
